→ Thornbridge has been declared the best drinks producer in the UK by BBC Radio 4 Food Programme‘s Food and Farming awards. BrewDog came third. (The stories of both breweries are covered in some detail in Brew Britannia.)

Congratulations to deserved winner Thornbridge. Interesting that they’re using a Meantime glass to illustrate the piece…..
I had a pint of Kipling this evening followed by a pint of Rooster’s Nectar: both pale ales using New Zealand hops, both 5.2%. Nectar was fine, but Kipling knocked it for six. I wasn’t expecting that at all – looks like they’ve still got it.
