Moktoberfest

Here’s an old but interesting menu for a German-inspired beer and food party from Chow.com.

Interesting that they don’t recommend any German beers — hence “Moktoberfest”, presumably — but their’s look like good choices for US based readers.

We found this quite inspiring.

What?! You found it inspiring how? I can’t tell if you’re being facetious or not but it looks frigging stupid to me. Oh wait, I’m a US based reader. Never mind. I love it!! That is soooo awesome!!!

Mark — I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic, so we’re even.

It made us think it would be a nice idea to get some friends round for a German-inspired dinner with some suitably matched beers.

GLB — I liked that the article wasn’t proposing an exact recreation of Oktoberfest, but something inspired by its feel, and the idea of worshipping beer.
