We first tried this a couple of years ago and liked, but not as much as our then-favourite, Goose Island IPA. Since our local off-licence started stocking it, however, we’ve had the chance to try a few more bottles. It turns out that to know it is to love it.
So, it’s official — I now prefer this to GIIPA. What I first took for harshness and thinness of body I’m come to appreciate as a dryness: it’s as clean and bright-tasting, rather than heavy and sickly.
That’s why it’s our beer of the week.

It is a great beer – sometimes Brooklyn can be heavy handed , imo – I find the East India to be restrained, for the better.
where is ur local offie?
We’re going to mention it again in a post later this week, but it’s what was Paul’s Wines (now Spar) in Orford Road, Walthamstow.
