Help: pubs with a dartboard?

Does anyone know of any pubs in London with decent beer and a dartboard? Bailey’s folks are in town and itching for a game.

The William IV in Leyton is our back up plan if we don’t get any other ideas.

Depends on what you think about Sam Smiths beer. The Rising Sun near Smithfields and the Lyceum Tavern at the Aldwych end of the Strands both have dartboards. The Rising Sun used to open on Saturdays, but I haven’t been there in a while, so maybe worth checking first…

I was in the George IV in Chiswick yesterday and it has a great well lit proper area for darts.
It’s a Fullers pub and I had a cracking pint of Gales Winter Brew.

Oh, yes, I’ve played darts in the Lyceum. Should have thought of that.

Nick – thanks for the suggestion. We don’t know enough about west London pubs.

The Queen’s Head in Flamborough St, Stepney is notable for a number of reasons: i) it’s on the square that Albert Square is alleged to have been based on. ii) it’s where the Queen Mother was photographed drinking Youngs Special in that picture that used to be in all Youngs pubs. iii) it has a rare traditional East End dartboard

Thanks for the tip, Ben! I thought Albert Square was based on Fassett Square in Hackney (certainly looks similar) but I wouldn’t be surprised to find it’s a composite of various different East End squares.

Always a challenge finding a darts board. I wish CAMRA would campaign on this!

Anyway. The Carpenters near Marble Arch. Various beers and a dartboard.
